PACKAGING DESIGNER

We are looking for a Packaging Designer who will be part of our creative and ambitious Product Development team based in Stockholm. As Packaging Designer your mission will be to support all aspects of the Packaging process and the creation of fashionable and functional packaging designs in line with the IDEAL OF SWEDEN brand.

Areas of responsibility

• Responsible for our packaging process
• Responsible for the creation of the packaging
• Securing that the design of and the packaging process is according to IDEAL OF SWEDEN´s standards
• Provide packaging solutions for existing and new products and make sure that all steps of the process run as effectively as possible.
• Create Shipping marks
• Color verification
• Continuously update documents and bar-codes
• Own the communication with our packaging supplier and keep relevant stakeholders in the loop
• Securing on-time delivery and involvement of necessary stakeholders
• Working cross-functionally with the production and the logistic team
• Informing factories about options for packaging for new collection releases.
• Creation of QA for the final products packaging

Essential Characteristics

• 3 years + of experience from a similar role
• A relevant degree in graphic design/industrial design is a requirement
• A strong portfolio to show a variety of samples that demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and knowledge of market and consumer trends.
• Strong knowledge of creative tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, 3D software programs, and photography.
• Problem solver with common sense and practical solutions orientation
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent project manager skills
• Interested in Fashion and the latest trends
• Familiarity with different packaging materials is preferable
