Parts breakdown Lead Engineer

As Parts breakdown Lead Engineer you will be part of our creative and dynamic global Service Engineering team, taking responsibility for the method & standard time deliverables in the vehicle projects, from concept stage through design release and verification. You will report directly to the Director Service Engineering.

The position is new and provides ample opportunity to work with the engineering related topics in close connection with the markets.

You will need to work hands on and in parallel train parts breakdown engineers to become fully independent team players developing a parts breakdown structure with high attention to service cost of ownership and profitable parts business – do the best possible parts breakdown with all markets in mind.

The work includes the follow up of and communications of set strategies, making sure that the parts breakdown requirements are taken care of within R&D, as well as the workshop repair information development and communication. The work is done in close cooperation with the serviceability/method engineers, CEVT R&D and the aftersales team in Hangzhou and Gothenburg.

The position is based in Gothenburg but with a Global responsibility. The position will require travel on regular basis.

Responsibilities and tasks

- Making sure that the service cost of ownership attribute is well balanced in all vehicle projects
- Making sure parts breakdown requirements are taken care of in vehicle projects
- Train parts breakdown engineers with a multicultural background to become fully independent team players developing best possible parts breakdown with all markets in mind.

Requirements

- B.Sc. or several years of relevant experience 
- Networking, communicative with business acumen and mind-set
- Structured and used to summarize and present the status of your work
- See problems as challenges and look for solutions
- At least 5 years of experience from different aftersales areas
- Experience in Project management
