Volvo Construction Equipment, a business area within the Volvo Group, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, articulated haulers, road development equipment and compact equipment. Production facilities are located in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. The turnover for 2007 reached SEK 53 billion. The number of employees is app. 16,000. The department Parts Engineering Chassi is responsible for developing parts range and create parts catalog for after market to all products developed within Volvo Construction Equipment group. Main responsibilities are Hydraulic, Cab and Frame. We also follow up parts range and catalog and adjust it in accordance to engineering change notes released by the product development departments, or according to information from external suppliers. The work is global and we have frequent contacts with people in other countries, some travel is required. The challenges for the future are, among other things, to meet increased customer requirements and increased demands of profitability. There are also ongoing efforts for improving catalog quality and optimize parts range to meet future requirements from users around the world. Example of your tasks: Create Parts Catalog within the area of cab and frame used on Volvo Construction Equipment products Maintain Parts Catalog according to Engineering change notes Be a team member working with new projects Continuous maintaining quality and content of Parts Catalog Be an active member of our Operation Development team To produce illustration manuscript for both internal- and external illustrators Qualifications: Technical education on a university degree level och experience from similar work with earthmoving/heavy equipment Experience of working with technical documentation and drawings/3D models Experience of working with illustrations Great experience of computer work, both in PC and mainframe environment Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English Knowledge in French or German is a merit Be part of a team but also work efficiently by yourself Aftermarket experience within construction equipment is an qualification Creative and positive attitude
