Parts Engineer (45320-03)

Parts Engineering Chassi within Parts and Service Engineering is now looking for a Parts Engineer. The department is responsible to develop a spare parts range for the functions Hydraulics, Frame and Cab for the after market to all products developed within the Volvo Construction Equipment group. We also follow up the assortment and adjust it in accordance to engineering change notes released by the product development departments, or according to information coming from external suppliers. The work is global and we have frequent contacts with people in other countries, some travel is required. The challenges for the future is, among other things, to meet increased customer requirements and increased demands of profitability: Example of your tasks: . Make a technical and commercial selection of spare parts within the areas of frame and cab for all Volvo Construction Equipment products . Through projects, drive and develop technical after market solutions together with product development . Create after market kits, sealing kits and overhaul kits . Create structures and spare parts selections on external purchased components . Distribute part numbers and secure that they are correctly set up in our after market systems . Maintain the assortment according to the engineering change notes Preferred qualifications: . Technical qualification with mechanical engineering speciality from an university degree level or corresponding through experience . Experience of working with technical documentation and drawings . Experience from the after market in the field of construction equipment is an qualification . Great experience of computer work, both in PC and mainframe environment . Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English. Knowledge in French or German is a merit . Creative and positive attitude Location: This position will be located in Eskilstuna, Sweden.
