Come work in the technology forefront and join Epiroc’s patent team. We are a small, dedicated team addressing the future under guidance of the Epiroc "Dare to Think New" vision. When joining us, you will play an important part in contributing to changing, developing and improving patent work to fit new needs within the Epiroc group and address new trends within our industry.


Mission
Your mission will be to work proactively to support patent creation and portfolio management within the fields of automation and digitalization; you will work with all five divisions of the Epiroc Group supporting.

In this position you will provide support in all kinds of patent-related matters as well as independently drive initiatives to identify new inventions in collaboration with our development teams. You will perform patentability assessments, draft and prosecute patent applications, as well as participate in strategic portfolio development. You will be a natural speaking partner regarding patent questions in the organization, and will also have external contacts with patent offices and patent attorneys.


Your profile
You have a Master of Science degree in Engineering, preferably in Applied Physics, Computer Science or similar. You also have a background within the field of computer implemented inventions and a few years of experience working in a patent engineer or patent attorney role. We prefer that you have experience of working independently with patent matters and can provide qualified advice on all matters relating to patents. Experience of industrial automation would be an asset, as well as Swedish or European Patent Attorney authorization and experience from oral proceedings or oppositions.

As a person, you are curious and daring with a high interest to interact with our Research & Development teams. You have an analytical ability, you work in an effective way and you have an eye for details. You should have the ability to plan and prioritize your work. You should also have a genuine interest in technology and be curious about new technology. You will proactively seek feedback from clients and imparting knowledge to others.

You must have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of other languages.


Location and travel
This position is preferably located in Örebro, Sweden. For the right candidate, we are willing to discuss alternative location, however some presence in the Örebro office will be required.
