Pc Software Engineer

SenseAir AB is a Swedish world leading company in the development and production of gas sensors. We are currently seeking to employ two qualified engineers to join the steady growing projects and challenges in our expanding company.
PC Software Engineer.
Work description:
As our Software Engineer you will hold a key role in the development and maintenance of our production system software, development support and test. The goal is development of the optimal test and production system for cost effective production of NDIR gas meters with assured high quality of the final product. The successful candidate will work as part of a team together with software engineers,
quality assurance responsible, product development responsible, test and production engineers and external consultants. Further duties/responsibilities include:
- Specification, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of
software modules of production systems
- Specification, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of
production related databases and tools for data analysis
- Test, evaluation and verification of software modules and complete system
- Implementation of designed system to everyday production and training of production personal
- Trouble shooting during development, verification and production stages
Education /basis:
Good knowledge and experience of, and interest in, software design for PC on Windows platform. We also see that you have an interest in experimental physics /
mathematics / electronics and/or in production process, technologies and production
optimisation. You should be interested in providing predictable development results
and time projections in solving development problems. Good English language communication and writing skills are required.
Mandatory merits:
- 3 or more years experience in programming in Visual C++ and/or VB
- Good skills in OOP
- Good skills in ODBC, SQL
- Good skills in technical documentation and reporting (in English)
Desirable but not mandatory merits:
Knowledge and experience in:
- Working in the environment of version control system
- Linux platform
- Embedded microcontroller systems and their interfaces to PC
- Implementation of serial communication protocols (for example Modbus).
- Quality assurance, methods of test of software.
