ABOUT RAYSEARCH

RaySearch Laboratories is a world leader in the field of advanced software for radiation therapy. Our solutions are used successfully in over 2,000 clinics in more than 30 countries. Our expertise is on the cutting edge in the fight against cancer. RaySearch was founded in 2000 as a spin-off from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. The founders are still major shareholders in the company. We have entered a new phase where we have altered our business model from selling our products through partners to selling our proprietary treatment planning system RayStation® directly to clinics.

We are now looking for a full time physicist to join our service team based in the Stockholm head office.

The service department at RaySearch Laboratories is an international team responsible for installation, support and education mainly for our European customers. We work close to our service departments and distributors in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia.

As a physicist at the service department one of your main tasks is to create linac beam models for our treatment planning system RayStation® to be used at the clinics. You will assist and guide new customers during the beam commissioning process. This process is the beginning of a long term relationship with the customer and very important. You will also organize and give education of the RayStation® commissioning tool and physics models to both customers and distributors. Other tasks include handling support cases, collecting feedback from customers and demonstrate RayStation® at trade shows and onsite for prospective customers. The position requires some travel in Europe and globally.

We are looking for physicists with a practical understanding of radiotherapy and interaction of ionizing radiation with matter. You should have some knowledge of linear accelerator physics and preferably experience from daily work at a radiotherapy clinic with treatment planning and quality assurance. Experience of IMRT and VMAT dosimetry, commissioning of treatment planning systems, and knowledge of proton and carbon ion physics is advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS
MSc or PhD in physics, engineering or equivalent, preferably medical/radiation physics
Clinical experience from a radiotherapy department, particularly with implementing and commissioning new software
Basic linac and dosimetry knowledge
Experience of education and training is considered a merit
English is required, other languages considered a merit
