Plant Electrical Engineer - Crushing & Screening

Arbetsbeskrivning

Right now, Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology and our Crushing & Screening division, is looking for an experienced Plant Electrical Engineer. If you’re passionate about technology, enjoy taking part in exciting projects and want to bring your expertise in designing and building crushing and screening plants at global customer sites - this is the perfect match for you!

We welcome you to join our Plant Engineering department, working in a truly diverse and developing environment where you get to connect and collaborate with brilliant minds spread all over the globe. Important drivers for us are to enforce our market leading position, while aiming ambitiously to reduce our environmental impact. We’re also very proud of our engineering roots and the genuine desire to develop tomorrow’s solutions.

Let’s talk about the job
As a Plant Electrical Engineer within our team, you’re responsible for designing, developing and improving our electrical designs for different facilities, single stations and projects within Crushing & Screening. You cooperate with both internal and external partners to find the best customized solutions within electrics, and you design the work in terms of process, customer demands and standards, while always ensuring alignment with necessary standards and legislation. You contribute with your technical know-how in our projects – sometimes as a sub project manager – by interacting with customers and other project managers, participating in kick off meetings and internal startups, as well as guiding and coaching our external entrepreneurs in their daily work. In between taking part in these exciting projects, you also engage in development work and continuous improvements.

This position is based at our Crushing & Screening headquarters in Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities, such as Malmö, Lund and Ystad, and with our site located just across from the train station. Some travel, both domestic and international, is included in the job.

Your character
We’re looking for someone with five to eight years’ experience from working with electrical engineering within an industrial plant segment, combined with knowledge about instrumentation/sensors as well as basic automation dependencies. It’s of course an advantage with a degree in a relevant technical field. You’re skilled in managing electrical installations and drawings and any previous experience in ELPROCAD or E-Plan is beneficial. As we operate across cultural borders, you need to be both aware and open-minded towards the cultural differences you encounter. This also means that you need great communication skills, and you’re fluent in English and have basic knowledge of Swedish.

You’re curious, socially skilled and flexible, and you combine this with structured ways of working and a passion to make things happen. By prioritizing tasks and following up on our work, you make sure we reach results, and you create strong networks and use teamwork as an everyday tool for success. You’re confident in your abilities and you enjoy solving complex problems and sharing knowledge with others.
