Plant & Equipment Manager - Söderströmstunneln

JV Söderströmstunneln HB is working with a technically sophisticated and interesting project in which a Concrete Tunnel will be built between Södermälarstrand and Riddarholmen.Contract value is 1.3 billion SEK and started 2008 and will be finished in 2013.The project is one part of Citybanan. The project is managed by a Joint Venture consisting of the German company Zublin and Danish Pihl.At the work site, located at Södermälarstrand close to Slussen in central Stockholm, employees with many different skills and nationalities work. THE POSITION Supervise and maintain the Plant & Equipment function at a big ground engineering site with due consideration to quality and safety standards of high order. The following are some of the responsibilities that follow the position.-Management and coordination of the Plant & Equipment Department.-Coordination, administration and supervising of all the equipment and machinery at the project (crawler cranes, tower cranes, wheel loader, excavators, drilling rigs etc.). -Maintain good contact with Joint Venture partners and suppliers with regards to plant and equipment.-Preparation of data for decisions regarding plant and equipment.-Cooperation with purchase department with regards to purchase of new inventory, machinery and other plant related things. -Documentation and implementing suitable routines concerning methods, reports and analysis. YOUR PROFILE We are looking for a person who has long experience in Plant & Equipment related issues, preferably from heavy ground engineering.-5 to 10 years experience in coordination and maintenance of heavy engineering plant and equipment.-Management experience together with reporting, administration, budgeting and communication skills.-Experience from heavy ground engineering.-Preferably Mechanical or Ground Engineering Degree from University. As a person you should be detail oriented and have an in-depth understanding of the working of various machines and equipments.Good ability to work under pressure and achieve targets, also during hard conditions. You should also be structured, thorough, have good interpersonal skills and coping with a periodically heavy workload.In addition to this good computer skills are required.Also excellent skills in English are vital, and skills in Swedish are preferable.
