Two postdoctoral research fellows in Language Technology, ref. full-time for two years, at the Department of Philosophy, Linguistics and Theory of Science.
Successful applicants will be integrated into the environments associated with the Centre for Language Technology (CLT) and the Graduate School of Language Technology (GSLT).The Centre for Language Technology <http://www.clt.gu.se> is a cross-faculty research centre established in 2007.It coordinates language technology research in four departments in the two universities in Gothenburg (University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology).They will be expected to contribute to research topics of relevance to the Dialogue Technology Laboratory and to teaching (up to 20% of full time) within the PhD and Masters programmes in language technology.Research in the Dialogue Technology Lab includes dialogue system building based on the information state update approach, theoretical work on dialogue semantics in particular semantic coordination and learning through interaction, empirical work on spoken dialogue corpora and mobile communication, and forensic phonetics.Research topics of particular interest for these positions include but are not limited to:
.machine learning techniques relating to adaptive information state dialogue systems
.computational semantics (in particular relating to logic and type-theory based systems)
.speech technology relating to spoken dialogue systems
.integration of dialogue technology and the web (such as cloud-based speech technology, web-based dialogue systems, dialogue systems in relation to the semantic web)
Requirements: The applicant should have a PhD degree with a language technology topic, awarded no more than 3 years prior to the closing date for the application.Knowledge of Swedish is not required.
