Where you’ll belong
As part of Volvo Cars Electrification Strategy, The Power Electronics Department within Vehicle Propulsion is expanding its capability within Power Electronics System Design.

The System Design team is responsible for system design and requirements for Traction Inverters and power conversion products, and we are now in the exiting stage of our journey where we are looking to further strengthen the team’s competence and capability. We are now searching for a Power Electronics Senior System Design Engineer with a special focus on EMC attribute to join our team!

Your Contribution 
The role as our Senior System Design Engineer for Power Electronic products with focus on EMC attribute will typically involve EMC requirements work, including alignment with stakeholders and requirement breakdown to our design teams, as well as creating and aligning EMC component test plan. 

You will be creating and validating system models to understand system behavior and support data driven design optimization while supporting and coaching our mechatronic design teams to find best practice design solutions to achieve good EMC performance, and to balance towards other attributes.

Who you are
We believe you have a university degree in electrical engineering and several years of professional experience of power electronics from a system design perspective working with and optimizing EMC topics. Preferably within the field of electric drive systems. 

As all of Volvo Cars design work is carried out in Agile design team, being a team player utilizing efficient collaboration with team members and other stakeholders are therefore key enablers to succeed in the role.
