SAS Technical Operations

SAS Technical Operations is a team of 100 people accountable for the continuing airworthiness of the SAS fleet. It performs a wide variety of tasks including negotiating and managing supplier contracts, engineering, and planning maintenance.

The Engineering team is responsible for the implementation of all applicable maintenance and authority requirements, monitoring of fleet reliability, and the aircraft maintenance budget. The team comprises 50 people who work closely with the rest of SAS to deliver on time, sustainable air travel.

We are now looking for a Powerplant Engineer to join our team in Stockholm as a part of the SAS CAMO team. The SAS CAMO team is responsible for the airworthiness and economical operation of the airline’s engines, APUs, and nacelle components.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing airworthiness and maintenance related tasks
* Short- and long-term engine fleet planning
* Ownership of a significant maintenance budget, including cost control and forecasting
* Engine Health Monitoring activities
* Engine/APU/Nacelle repair management


Experience and Qualifications

* Either relevant experience in aviation engineering and maintenance or an engineering degree
* Preferably experience from CAMO engineering in an airline
* Relevant experience in airline Powerplant Engineering is beneficial
* Experience in AMOS MIS system is beneficial

SAS Headquarters at Frösundavik is a great place to work. There is a gym, restaurant, café and a variety of services to make your life easier. It’s located in a green area of Solna and close to Hagaparken and Brunnsviken. There’s a non-stop bus connection from the Central Station to Frösunda, commuter trains to/from Solna Station, and a good network of cycle paths. As this position requires occasional work airside, to be eligible for this position you must be able to pass a security test including a background check.
