Europaskolan is an independent Swedish primary and secondary school with an international heart located in the center of Stockholm. The school was founded in 1998 and has been authorized by the International Baccalaureate® (IB) to teach the PYP (Primary Years Program) and MYP (Middle Years program) since 2007. We have relatively small class sizes and we maintain high standards for our students. A grade 5 teacher at Europaskolan should be able to perform the following duties:
Create inspiring and well-scaffolded units of study for students with levels of English proficiency varying from proficient to native speaker.
Create an inspiring and well-structured learning environment in which the teacher is the clear leader of the classroom and where the students can thrive.
Create assessment tasks that are relevant for students and which are based on clearly established success criteria.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and create inspiring interdisciplinary learning activities for students.
Be an engaged mentor for 24 students and collaborate with the other mentor of the same grade level to help build classes into communities.
Balance the IB and Swedish national curricula with guidance from management and fellow teachers.
