Principal Program Architect / OSS/BSS

To one of our customers in telecom we are looking for a Principal Program Architect / OSS/BSS. The Role The customer has an executive level opened within business unit Sweden. The role is a Principal Programme Architect with a high profile and strategic position within the organisation. It involves engaging (C-level), line-of-business representatives within the company to understand customers business directions, challanges, opportinities and to architect cost effective solutions to deliver towards those objectives. The Principal Architect will lead our OSS / BSS POTS transformation across functional areas and across the organization (BU Sweden and Network). It also implies the need of engaging and working with some of the industry?s most talented telecom experts and service providers. The role and job represents a fantastic opportunity to join one of the telecom industies most challanged geograpies and and well respected market leader. Requirements Candidates must have a minimum of 10+ years architecture and telecom consulting experience. - In-depth knowledge of OSS/BSS/Service layer technologies - Understanding and experience of eTom, NGOSS, TOGAF - Extensive telecom experience at C-level - Consulting and business development skills - Excellent communication, presenting and problem solving skills - Proven ability to translate business requirement into technical solutions - Ability to work in fast paced, challenging environment Explicit knowledge, technical background: - Extensive experience of customer facing engagements for all stages of the solution delivery lifecycle. - Extensive experience in the telecommunications industry with network technologies and network management processes. - Experience of delivering major software deployment projects. - Proven experience of service fulfilment solutions, including the delivery of service Order processing, activation, network engineering and inventory solutions. - Detailed understanding of the challenges of delivering solutions in first tier-operators. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to peer with and influence technical teams and be able to abstract to communicate clearly to wider project and customer teams at all levels. - Commercially aware in all aspects of the solution delivery lifecycle. - Experienced of software architectures and technologies - Detailed understanding of some of the technologies used in the telcoms industry eg. IP, MPLS, VoIP, POTS, ATM, FR and Wireless (inc 3G/4G), - Experience with software systems and architectures often used by telecommunications operators eg. MetaSolv, Telcordia, Tertio, Amdocs, Cramer, TeMIP, Vitria, TibCo. Education & Experience: - Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or similar technical discipline. - 10+ Years experience in the architecture, design development and implementation of information technology systems/solutions for the communications industry. Business unit profile The unit is offering Smart Home solutions, based on IP. Growth focus is on mass market services for connecting homes and offices and for home communication. The business area also includes wholesale and international carrier business. The customer has a strong market position in the Nordic Baltic area as markets leaders in Sweden, Estonia and Lithuania, number two in Finland and with strong footprints in Norway and Denmark.
