PROCESS ENGINEER
The work is performed according to TiSiX, the Constant Innovation Policy, the TiPS, TitanX Linköping Management System, ISO TS 16949 and in agreement with procedures and instructions existing for product industrialization, projects and modifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the execution of phase related activities (0-4b, 0-3b) and corresponding project documentation to be updated and filed accordingly throughout the lifetime of the pro-ject. The Process Engineer is equivalent to the Process PTM in the Project Management Handbook with full responsibility for all industrialization aspects related to the project.
- In projects the Process Engineer is responsible for the estimation and verification of manufacturing costs and to provide this input to the SCP (Standard Cost Price).
- Actively participate in start up phases to ensure that DFA (Design for Assembly) is con-sidered and ensured in all new projects.
- Ensure the ?lean concept? in the manufacturability of new products developed and im-proving it on existing products in order to improve the efficiency in the division. This is measured in the cycle times and the process engineer is responsible for the accuracy and reliability for his/her projects.
- Define technical specifications/instructions for equipment, tooling, process, maintenance & machines. Verification and approval of new investments versus defined specifications.
- Ensure to keep the budget for investments according to the Investment Authorization Request (IAR)
- Application and continues updating of Process FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis).
- Take part to the evaluation and approval of the PPAP for in-going parts, components and/or modules.
- Participate actively in reaching the objectives for the R&D and Production departments.
- Ensure that the adequate preventive or corrective quality tools are implemented in the project
- Participate and to some extent manage quality activities of the project, APQP, whenever support is needed from project quality
The Process Engineer reports to the Launch Manager.
The Process Engineer will be managed functionally, when agreed with the Launch Manager, by Project Manager assigned to specific customer P1 and/or P0/P2 projects.
REQUIREMENT PROFILE
3 to 5 years manufacturing engineering education at university/engineering school with 3 years experience in manufacturing engineering or 7 years practical experience in the field. Applicant must have proven skills in lean manufacturing concept or Toyota Production Sys-tem, preferable also knowledge about Value Stream Anlaysis (VSA), Kaizen, automotive quality principles.
