The world is transforming to sustainable solutions, the transport industry is transforming accordingly, and we, the Volvo Group is taking the lead.
To meet the growing demand for battery electric heavy-duty vehicles and machines, the Volvo Group has initiated the process to establish a large-scale production plant for battery cells in Sweden. Were we will be able to build on a strong heritage and world-class competence in advanced, high-volume manufacturing, while having access to Sweden’s rich supply of fossil free energy.
Are you a talented Process Engineer, looking to be part of a groundbreaking initiative at the intersection of technology and sustainability? Join our dynamic team as we embark on an ambitious project to establish a cutting-edge battery cell factory.
Your new role
As a Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role and will make a lasting impact in the rapidly evolving battery industry. You will be a part of the project team and support with your experience in establishing the factory.
What you will work with:
* Contribute to other areas of expertise with your knowledge.
* Define and set production processes and/or support processes to ensure cost efficient, high efficiency and high-quality standards.
* Identify and implement improvements in the master processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Utilize chemical engineering expertise to enhance battery cell manufacturing.
* Maintain a focus on sustainability and contribute to the development of green energy solutions.
* Champion a culture of innovation and excellence in process engineering within the team.
* Drive to build a deep knowledge in one or several battery processes steps to become an expert.

• You have a University Degree from relevant areas such as electrochemistry, materials engineering, chemistry, or chemical engineering.
• You are familiarity with battery cell manufacturing or lithium-ion technology is a significant advantage.
• Have an interest in emerging technologies and are curious to explore.
• You value continues learning of yourself and your networks.
• You are courageous to try, fail and try again.
• You like to work independently and feel engaged taking own initiatives.
• You have a deep interest in sustainability and green industry.
Being a truly global team with colleagues all over the world it’s important that you feel comfortable speaking English and have the willingness and possibility to travel.
The networking part in the role is crucial for success and therefore we think that the ability to create relations with anyone in the organization is key.
