Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries.
Within SMR IT Operational Excellence department, we’re now looking for a Process Manager to join our small and diverse team of experts in supporting the organization and teams. You work closely with both teams currently part of SMR IT organization and business teams managing IT solutions across the global organization. Your mission
In this position, you’re responsible for IT Asset Management and Configuration Management process – supporting the organization in process execution, identifying improvements, and resolving challenges with process performance. You define and evaluate performance against agreed targets and offer guidance and clarifications where needed and feed in further improvements towards the process owner.
This includes:
Ensuring required asset and configuration item CMDB data has good coverage and high quality
Supporting governance, policies, and procedures – with active engagement to operations and even hands-on administration of asset and configuration item data when needed.
Promoting the value of Asset & Configuration Management processes, developing policies, procedures, and processes within the organization to ensure compliance and reduced risk.
Collaborating with others to extend the CMS, including the Asset and CI models and hierarchies
Formulating data-driven insights to support and communicate with diverse stakeholders – driving alignment towards shared objectives and maturity improvements.

Ideal location for this position is in Tampere, Finland, or in Stockholm or Sandviken, Sweden – where the rest of the team members are located. Some travel may occur.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a solid work experience within IT Service Management – from working as a Service Manager, Process Manager or in other similar roles closely related to Asset or Configuration Management. Your experience is backed by a masters’ degree within a relevant field of studies. To be successful in this role, we expect you to have knowledge and demonstrable experience with relevant ITIL processes or similar framework. Our service management platform is Service Now, so working experience with that platform will be very useful. As we’re looking into extending towards utilization of Discovery and Service Mapping capabilities of Service Now, practical experience in this area is considered an asset. Working in a global environment calls for excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

With your flexible and responsive personality, you engage new contacts with ease and your attention for details will help you get into the key issues within your scope.
