Process Safety Engineer

The Process Safety Engineer function in the HSE department supports Site Stenungsund by providing expertise in process safety and legislation. Main work process include critical equipment, hazard studies, flammable material handling and management of change.

Main tasks and responsibilities are:

-Take decisions and actions in process safety related areas to prevent process incidents to occur/reoccur and thereby keep the process safety risks at a tolerable level.
-Responsible for proposing,reporting and follow-up of process safety KPIs to improve safety record and culture.
-Implement work procedures according to AN standards/ guidelines, PSM framework and legislation (including Flamamble goods, Atex, SIL classification)
-Contact person and reports to authorities in process safety area primarily MSB
-Provide Process safety competency ,own or external, to support the line organisations.
-Propose and/or manage projects related to process safety.
-Responsible for software used in the subject field (Flexite MOD, Pha-Pro 8)
-Represents the site in different process safety venues/ networks

Candidate profile

To be successful in this position you should have a M.Sc. in Chemical or Mehanical Engineering and 5 years relevant experience from working in process design and operation. Ability to analyze and evaluate complex process technology issues from a technical point of view. Good communicational skills, both written and verbal, in english and swedish. As a person you are responsible and result oriented.

The position is permanent on a full time basis, reporting to the HSE Manager of Site Stenungsund.
