The R&D Department provides a support function for the whole Stena Metall Group. We conduct a range of projects and activities, within five focus areas, identified and decided upon by companies within the Group. We prioritize value-creating solutions that support the business and secure state of art technology. Our responsibilities include project management and cross functional work in our focus areas, providing expertise in future recycling technology, contributing technical skills and support in our areas of expertise.

Stena Recycling Group is expanding the team of skilled engineers within Research and Development to meet the various initiatives run in our focus areas. You will report to Process and Technology Manager and will be placed in Gothenburg or Halmstad.

Your focus on processes and technology

As a Process & Technology engineer in our R&D department, you will be part of a team of currently 35 people and be involved in driving process engineering solutions in projects of varying size and complexity. You will be part in projects working with concepts-, pre-studies and implementation of both small and large development projects within our facilities.

You will work with everything from technical-studies, POC riggs, methodology, technology development, design. You will also be a strong team player and act as a mentor to your younger colleagues as the department grows.

Your time will be divided between work from our office, working from home and at our facilities both in Sweden and Europe.

You are an experienced engineer with a broad background in the process or production industry and many years of experience working in projects and development. To succeed in the role, you have a technical interest, solid knowledge and are curious. As a person, you are communicative, responsive, relationship-building, proactive and take your place in a humble way both outside our facilities and internally in the office. You need to be a flexible person who thrives in a changing environment and wants to be involved in developing the internal work in the R&D department.

You will be working in cross-functional and international teams including external stakeholders. Therefore, spoken and written Swedish and English on professional level is necessary.

If you have previous experience linked to Recycling industry, Automation, Plastic, this is a merit.

Driver license is a requirement.
