Procurement and Logistics Manager

This role involves heading up a team of procurement and logistics specialists in the Electrification Smart Power in Sweden (Västerås or Alingsås). Executing effective sourcing strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products and by ensuring that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
Reporting to the Local Product Group Manager, you will drive excellence in the execution of purchasing and logistics strategies that aid the business by optimizing costs, quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
Your responsibilities
Heading the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost, budgets, and savings forecasts
Overseeing buying activities to ensure that buyers minimize risk by buying in accordance with procedures and ABB guidelines
Leveraging category teams strategy to ensure appropriate supplier selection
Deploy P&L global team strategic initiatives and program in the local units
Monitoring internal and supplier performance, quality and development actions while resolving issues related to costs, quality and delivery
Ensuring (with help from HR) that the Procurement and Logistics department is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed while guiding, motivating and developing less experienced colleagues in line with succession planning

Your background
5 years of experience in procurement and logistics, working as procurement and logistics specialist or manager with metal, electronics, plastic or similar
Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures
Demonstrated leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach
Fluent in English
