Join Us. Volvo Cars’ global legal team is looking for an engaged and forward-thinking lawyer with an affinity for procurement. Volvo Cars’ legal team consists of 35 lawyers who provide legal advice and support to the business units and other staff functions of Volvo Car Group within essentially all areas of business law. Our headquarters are at wonderful Hisingen, Gothenburg, where this position is based.

As a member of Volvo Cars’ Legal team, you will have the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and take on various challenges, big and small, in a truly dynamic and international environment. In this role you will provide legal support to the Procurement department of Volvo Car Group as part of a team of 4 dedicated lawyers.
Your History. You are a qualified lawyer with grades in the upper tier. In your professional life, before applying for a job at Volvo Cars, you have worked at least 5 years as a lawyer at a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel, handling various commercial legal matters and with extensive experience in reviewing, drafting and assisting in negotiations of commercial contracts. If you have experience with drafting and negotiating software contracts it is seen as a merit. You will of course be a team player with a proactive and customer-oriented mind-set and with an ability to provide high-quality legal support with limited supervision and often under time pressure. Defining and solving complicated problems that require careful analysis and good judgement is something you excel at and thrive on. You are able to translate legal advice into actions that deliver business value and drive change.
