PIM RBS Kumla is a part of Business Unit Networks and has the global responsibility for Ericsson radio base stations; throughout the whole product life cycle.

PIM Core Networks is a part of Business Unit Networks. We are globally responsible for predevelopment, industrialization and production of next generation core networks.

Job Description
As mechanical verification engineer you will participate in Pre-development projects, New Product Introduction projects and maintenance of our Radio Base Station systems and be responsible for the producibility verification.

This means you will review mechanical design solutions from a production point of view and give feedback and improvement suggestions to our design departments, so we get producible products at a reasonable cost, with high yield in a short time to the market.

You will be working in a group within engineering that covers the product area Radio Base Station. The group includes Quality Engineer, Product Engineer, Industrial Engineer and Metrology Engineer. You will report to the section manager for Industrial Engineer and Design Support RBS.

As a mechanical engineer you are the interface between R&D and production and you will act as the primary partner for producibility and building practice questions.

Qualifications
You have a master or bachelor degree in mechanical design or other relevant competencies within the mechanical area.

You also have broad experience within mechanics, CAD competence (UG and/or ProE), knowledge about DFA (Design For Assembly) and deep production engineering knowledge.

We want you to be comfortable with both reading and speaking technical English and Swedish and it is of great importance that you understand, enjoy and accept cultural differences since you will be working with designers and engineers from different parts of the world.

You are self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge and are service minded since we are mainly working with design and producibility support!
