About you 

We are looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about developing people and business in an omnichannel environment. Ideally, you have 5 or more years of experience from digital product management with a good understanding of delivery and operations based on scaled agile and/or DevOps methodologies. You bring the seniority and experience required to build and guide a large scale product organization in both strategy development and implementation. 

We believe that you are someone who can build trustful relationships with stakeholders, business partners and franchisees and facilitates collaboration across Inter IKEA Group, keeping things together even when they get complex or unclear.  You enjoy working in a high paced environment and you have a proven ability to lead, coach, challenge and support people to grow. 

You are structured and you always follow through. You take responsibility, support others and deliver your work with a sense of urgency. 

Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are some of the qualities you bring with you and working with many different people together across the world gives you a lot of energy.

We are moving into a new chapter with an ambition to  provide IKEA retailers with a set of digital products and services that are integrated into IKEA value chain and supporting the omnichannel IKEA Concept. We call this the Retail Package and it covers key capabilities for retail operations.

About the role  

As Product Area Manager you will be managing a portfolio of digital products and platforms, outlining the overall product and platform portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap to support emerging business needs. 

Together with the management team you will lead Retail Operation Solutions & Support organisation on a digital transformation journey aiming to provide an omnichannel retail package. This includes introducing a product-oriented delivery setup, scaling the organisation through a significant increase of both skilled co-workers, as well as new and existing suppliers. 

One of your primary responsibilities is to lead and develop a team of high performing Product and Platform Managers, who inspire and empower co-workers in the product and platform teams to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their assignments. 

You are responsible for product and platform delivery and prioritisation across digital products and platforms in the Product Area, including phasing new products in and existing products out. 

You and your team will work in close cooperation with franchisees and be in regular contact with stakeholders on these markets to understand their situation and needs. You will also work closely together with peers across the totality of Core Business Franchise and across IKEA to strengthen and contribute to a strong and relevant IKEA franchise offer
