Volvo Car Corporation designs,develops, manufactures and markets Volvo Cars all over the world. Its research and development mostly takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden. The main production currently occurs in Belgium and Sweden. The number of employees is approximately 28,000 people. Volvo carsare sold in more than 100 countries around the world.

Purchasing dept. 53500 consists of two sections; Dressed Engine, Ems & Cooling and Engine & Transmission, we are responsible for direct material to Volvo Cars Plants. We purchase material to advanced projects, new projects and running production for all VCC:s manufacturing plants.

Powertrain main areas are Exhaust systems, Bought engines, Transmissions, Four wheel drive systems, Cylinder Heads and Blocks and Engine Management Systems.

Yearly turn over is around 16 billion Swedish krona. The team is working very close together with Land Rover, Jaguar and Ford of Europe. In our daily work there is also a close co-operation together with the Engineering department and our plants.

Job Description:

Purchasing of components, systems and tools from a national and
international Supplier base
Purchasing to Projects
Quality and Delivery performance follow up
Agreements
Sending out request for quotation and evaluate offers
Capacity investigations
Lead and support negotiations

Qualifications:

Commercial experience preferably from automotive industries
Technical knowledge/experience/interest is an advantage
Technical and/or commercial university degree alt. long experience within automotive
Experience from purchasing is preferable
Very good knowledge in English is a requirement
Good computer skills (MS Office) are required
