Product Cost Controller

We are looking for 2 persons to join the product cost controlling team in Volvo 3P (internally called VMT controllers).You will follow the cost evolution of current trucks, build the cost of trucks under development and calculated business cases for new concepts/business. In this job you will create and present financial decision material for technical issues.The job is performed in cooperation with representatives from Product Development, Purchasing, Manufacturing, After Market and other colleges in the finance department.The job is located in Gothenburg and you will report to the VMT controller manager (Johan Wideman) and be a part of the European organization of Economic Support. Core Responsibilities: Calculate business case and product cost effects for projects on current trucks. On monthly basis compile and present the reasons behind cost evolution of current trucks.According to project demands compile and update the estimated product cost for new trucks. Actively work to find and propose profitable changes on the trucks, both current and future truck.Be the finance representative in projects and in your Vehicle Module Team (Cross functional team responsible for your technical area).This includes also training the organization in "profitability mindset" Required Competencies and personality: Business mindset with an understanding of the profitability constraints for a product developing company.Analytical skills and technical understanding is vital in order to succeed.Financial skills within profitability calculations.Teamplayer with the ability to create compromises and anchor this in a team.Negotiation skills and a "selling" personality with the ability to train/motivate others.Experience from production processes, like plastic injection, welding, machining, sheet metal stamping etc.High integrity in order to enforce the financial guidelines of AB Volvo in the daily work.Skilled in Excel(mandatory) and CAD systems (meriting).Fluent in English, spoken as well as written.Knowledge from internal Volvo systems is meriting (KOLA, GPS, PCTS, PCCT, CHIPS) Knowledge of internal Volvo processes is meriting (GDP, Purchasing processes, product cost reporting processes) Minimum Years of Experience Required: 5 years in an industrial environment with a mix of product development, purchasing and finance related work tasks. Minimum Education Required: Master of Science in Mechanical engineering, Mecatronics & Automation or Industrial Engineering & Management, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
