"Volvo Cars IT Product Development" is responsible for methods,
information, applications and IT infrastructure supporting the development
of new cars and their manufacturing processes. We work closely together with the involved business process representatives and we actively participate in taking Volvo Cars into a leading position of automotive development methodology. We are a relatively small, experienced core team of employees, but we manage altogether around 200 persons doing development, maintenance and support.

Job Description:

Application engineer for CAE systems
Manage technical development and maintenance of CAE systems and to some extent act as a team leader
Lead projects including development, integration of software, implementation and support
Ensure appropriate use of Volvo Cars IT processes, tools and methodologies
Cooperate with colleagues within Ford to evaluate, select and deploy common solutions in line with the business strategy and business case evaluations

Profile Qualifications:

Master of Science (M.Sc.) or equivalent
Experience of CAE IT systems in the automotive industry.
Project management skills

Personal Profile

Good communicating skills, including a high level in spoken and written English
Good interpersonal skills and a team player
