NCG Development and Product Development team develop display and window props for all the global windows at H&M and our brands. Our scope includes developing and defining technical solutions, selection of materials according to our circular direction, testing and evaluating prototypes and secure right quality for production. We have a talented team with specialists within engineering and industrial design. We also have experts within R&D.


Job Description
We are now looking for a Product developer that have a technical competence and material knowledge to support us on the journey of developing a more circular product portfolio for windows. In this role you will work closely with our creators and several experts develop best product solutions applying circular design, safe and smart constructions and value engineering for display products and window props in a sustainable, durable, functional, and cost-effective way according to the seasonal creative briefs and the yearly circular directions.
You are involved in all phases of a product development process. Constantly improving solutions and making sure we are working towards best product solution. Besides project-based assignments, you actively work to towards our yearly objectives within sustainability.
This role will be based in Stockholm and will have a close collaboration with different stakeholders in Stockholm as well as the development team in our Asian hub.


Your responsibilities
Translate creative ideas into material choice and technical solutions inline with the creative brief and circular design
Collaborate with quality team and mitigate risks
Develop products together with our supplier base choosing the best construction, materials/finishes, and manufacturing processes to secure the best deal and safe products for the end user
Approve prototype quality and production counter samples according to the set requirements.
Secure right quality with structured analysis and handover clear information to Quality team.
3D CAD modelling and creation of technical drawings when necessary.
Rendering of 3D models when necessary. Administration of products quality data
Contact with suppliers on a global market.
Responsible for managing projects or part of projects according to briefs.



Qualifications
Your background and skills
Min. bachelor’s degree of Technical Engineer and/or Industrial Design
Expertise knowledge and experience around the development process from first idea to end of life.
Knowledge and experience around several materials, surface treatments and production methods.
Sustainability knowledge in circular design and important of material content vs. quality
Experience from working in cross functional teams and projects.
Knowledge in 3D CAD systems
Fluent in written and spoken English.
