IKEA of Sweden, or IoS, is responsible for developing the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world.Expressed in terms of IKEAs three main processes, IoS leads the processes Creating the Home Furnishings Offer and Supplying.IoS also takes part in the third main process, called Communicating & Selling, which is lead by Retail. Job description * Responsible for all technical aspects of both new and existing products * Lead, develop and implement new innovative technical solutions * Create and communicate technical brief to concerned product development team members * Lead and make sure the technical dev.projects are carried through and delivered in time and follow up the results * Responsible for product engineering * Within the assigned area provide concrete proposals and solutions for IKEA technical standards and platforms * Define and appoint relevant engineering competence for delegated product engineering assignments (e.g.at suppliers or Trading Areas) * Take responsibility for the total product quality and initiate improvements * Actively search new information and networks [ Job requirements * 5 years relevant technical working experience and/or university degree * Working experience in materials, construction, technical solutions, CAD, technical drawings, production and cost calculation. * Good understanding of[ the IKEA range, IKEA processes and customer needs is an advantage * Good knowledge in applicable product and material requirements * Good understanding and competence related to product development and project management * Fluent in English, both spoken and written Personal skills You are enthusiastic, driven and determined, enjoy working closely with people and have great communication & convincing skills.You have the capability to lead, manage and motivate people with development assignments/projects.You have a strong result orientation and ability to prioritize.You have a problem solving approach and the ability to make holistic, proactive and rational fact based decisions.We hope that you like to contribute with your unique personality and competence for IKEAs future and welcome your application.
