Product Imaging Engineer

Product Imaging Engineer

Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to be where creativity and new ideas are appreciated? Now you have the opportunity to work as Product Imaging Engineer and develop the world's best surveillance cameras

Your future team - Fixed Domes Imaging
We are a product development team that develops the imaging system in Axis fixed dome cameras. The work takes place in small project teams where you collaborate closely with many different disciplines such as firmware, mechanics, electronics and production technology.

Your role
As imaging engineer, you will work cross-functionally with product development from idea to volume production and product maintenance. Your main responsibilities are all aspects of image quality of a network camera. This cover implementing and adapting software for the camera, developing production tuning and testing functionality as well as analyzing test data to optimize performance. One day you find yourself working closely with mechanical engineers to secure optimum conditions for high precision optics and the next day you discuss an embedded SW module with the firmware engineers. Later that week you might be in a meeting with a sensor supplier to discuss some artefacts you saw while testing the camera in the image lab. The work involves an exciting combination of theoretical and practical problem solving where you often find yourself in the center of action, having a direct impact on the current and on the future generations of the product.

Who are you?
We are looking for you who are interested in developing new products and want to work with image technology in a cross-functional team. We think you have a master or bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, computer science or electronics. As an imaging engineer, it is important that you enjoy and are good at working with a wide range of tasks where you constantly collaborate with others to achieve our common goals. You are triggered by challenges and are comfortable with often being the one who enthusiastically pushes forward to put together a good overall solution.

You will work in an environment where you are continuously supported to gradually develop the breadth of your skills. It is a merit if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:

* Programming in C++/C or Python in Linux environment
* Optical components such as lenses and image sensors
* Data analysis and processing
* Photography and image enhancement techniques
* Practical experimental work with technical hobby-, school- or work projects.

What can Axis offer you?
With us, you get to work with exciting new technologies in a dynamic group together with creative and driven people who love to collaborate and develop together. We offer a learning environment, where you are constantly supported by a mentor and experienced colleagues, while gradually taking on more and more responsibility.

Axis is a world-leading company with offices and customers all over the world. We develop and sell network cameras used for surveillance and security solutions. We are in an expansive phase, which means new challenges and great opportunities to develop on a personal and professional level.
