Product Manager

Would you like to work with Product Management in a world leading company?Sandvik Tooling consists of 7 Product Areas (PAs), covering a total of 15 brands.Each brand develops its own own line of products and services which they offer to their customers.Product Management is a common process within Sandvik Tooling responsible for assurance of unique PA product portfolios, supporting the multi-brand strategy but also balancing demands for Tooling synergies. Tooling Product Management is responsible for defining and implementing the best practice for product portfolio management.All products are owned and managed by the individual PAs Product Management organization.Tooling Product Management drives synergy projects and is also responsible for the Product Lifecycle Management process.Tooling Product Management is looking to recruit a Product Manager-Tooling Systems to strengthen their existing organization in order to further develop the product management process within Sandvik Tooling.Key performance areas: As a Tooling Product Manager you are responsible for establishing a Tooling product strategy within defined areas.You will also be involved in defining specific product strategies for each PA, based on a clear PA market positioning.Responsibilities cover the complete product lifecycle, from product strategy through product development until the product is discontinued.The main stakeholders to this role are PA product managers and Tooling organizations for supply and price&profitability..Strategic product planning of Tooling common assortment, tool holding systems .Operative work within product management of Tooling common tool holding systems .Project management, product introduction projects The location of this position can be either Stockholm or Sandviken depending on the candidate.Your profile: To achieve the expected results you will have at least 5 years of experience from sales, product development, field customer contacts, product and technical support and/or production within a similar field or organization. You have an insight and knowledge of the market of cutting tools and/or a well established network with suppliers of machine tools for metal cutting.Furthermore the ideal candidate is able to display a genuine technical interest and is able to communicate principles and to co-operate with all levels of the company. In order to succeed in this role you will be able to create and maintain networks, internal as well as external, on an international level.Due to the international scope of this position, you should be willing to travel 1-2 days per week on average.We believe that you have an academic degree within engineering, eg an MSc in Mechanical Engineering or other related subject area. Since you will be working in an international environment, it is a prerequisite that you are fluent in spoken as well as written English.Applications in either Swedish or English will be accepted.
