Product Manager

Atlas Copco s Underground Rock Excavation division is the largest division within the Construction and Mining Technique business area.We are a marketleader, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions to meet the challenging needs of our customers globally.We have grown significantly in recent years, but have ambitious plans and targets to develop the business further.The division employs 600 people in Örebro, and further 2000 people in dedicated sales companies in more than 50 countries around the world.95% of sales are outside of Sweden.Demand in the mining and construction industry for leading-edge, highperforming mechanized drilling equipment has increased dramatically and is set to continue to increase.With our current and next-generation equipment we have a very good platform to advance our already strong position.And here we need an energetic product champion to take responsibility for the future of our tunnelling and mining equipment.As Product Manager your responsibilities are to: * establish and maintain product strategies for your range of products * produce and maintain sales literature and sales arguments * support and train our Area Managers in Örebro and our Customer Centres around the world to imporove product know- ledge, application knowledge, sales arguments and competitor information.* develop and maintain a pricing structure related to product performance and benefits * be responsible for product cost analysis and development * collect and interpret information on customers present and future needs, and translate this information into market demand specifications for product development projects * be active as a member of product development project-teams * be prepared to assume project leadership for pre-studies and minor projects * contribute to achieve the consolidated sales and profability targets In this role you will travel internationally some 30-50 days per year.We expect you to have university degree in a relevant field.You also have experience working closely within the construction and/or mining industry, including good applications experience.As a person, you thrive in a results-oriented, international environment where you are expected to show initiative and take responsibility.You have very good communication skills and a structured way of working.
