Product Manager for cutting-edge software This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a cutting edge and fast growing company.Jeppesen Systems develops and implements state of the art technology and optimization systems for the world's leading railways and airways.The Rail, Logistics & Terminals unit in Göteborg is looking for a new Product Manager.Product Manager, RMS - R Crew Resource Management Solution - Rail Crew (RMS - R Crew) is a software system that optimises the rail crew management process, quickly generating optimal schedules for all on-train staff.As Product Manager for RMS - R Crew you will work within the Business Management team to secure the current and future profitability of our rail crew products.You will ensure that the products we build today and tomorrow are consistent with market requirements and will draw upon your industry experience and your contacts with customers and prospects.You possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, have a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand customer problems, and finding innovative solutions for the broader market.You will work with marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them to understand the product positioning, pricing, key benefits and target customers.You will also serve as the internal and external "champion" for the RMS-R Crew offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.Key Responsibilities: * Team with Client Management, Operations and R&D to define, market, sell and deliver the product.* Translate market needs into clearly defined and detailed product requirements.* Work with R&D in Gothenburg and Brisbane to define product requirements and determine viable development strategies, deliverables, and release dates.* Evaluate competitive market offerings and deliver on differentiation and analysis studies, positioning and communications.* Provide product specific support to Client Management and Operations.Requirements: * Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Management/Marketing * Strong, proven experience in managing software product requirements and product release planning * Background in technical roles within application software environment is a plus * Experience in defining market segmentation, targeting and positioning statements * Strong commercial acumen.P&L experience is highly regarded.Working at Jeppesen: As a global multi-cultural company with offices in over 27 locations worldwide, Jeppesen provides many opportunities to grow, on a personal level as well as professionally.The company culture is characterized as being creative, straightforward, dynamic, friendly and fun with a diverse team cooperating in achieving challenging tasks.Our clients include SNCF, Deutsche Bahn, DSB, Green Cargo, KLM, SAS, British Airways, Singapore Airlines, Delta Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic Airways.Jeppesen participates in joint research and software development at some of the world's leading universities.Applications: To apply, please e-mail CV and a short note in English on why you are interested in the position.Mark subject line with number 64:1
