Product manager wireless networks

Our client in Stockholm is looking for a Product manager for wireless access networks, for start in the spring 2007: Job Description: Strategic Product Management with responsibility for marketing strategies on UTRAN solutions. Identify target market segments for 3GPP based wireless access networks. Determine the business requirements and transfer to product strategy and requirements, taking into account technology and standards development, and underlying drivers and criteria for infrastructure development. Drive marketing, solutions, product portfolio and road-map planning. Responsibilities: . Product marketing strategy . Product solutions . Marketing support including development of papers and material for new solutions . Market research and customer surveys. Run in-depth dialogues with engineering at selected operators . Competitor analysis: Technology and product benchmarking Essential Qualifications . Deep understanding of (not restricted to) wireless network architectures and development direction of underlying prerequisites in technology and business . Substantial experience from R&D of wireless network products, particularly 3GPP radio networks and their base stations . Thorough experience and working history from product management and leading companies in telecom industry . Having been part of a successful product portfolio planning and development . Familiarity with evaluating business opportunities through market research and business case modeling based on telecom operator's prerequisites . Thorough experience in identifying and articulating market requirements . Good command of English and having power to communicate well on paper and in person Desirable characteristics . Deeper technical competence in one area of radio network technology or the recent 3GPP standard developments. . Good team player, open minded and strong abstract thinking ability, familiarity with work in distributed and multicultural environment. Independent consultants may also apply.
