Traditionally, bearings are purchased on price. This transactional approach however ignores many interrelated elements, which contribute to rotating equipment performance and overall total cost of ownership. In response to these challenges, we have created the offer we call REP, Rotating Equipment Performance – an offer focused on improving the overall efficiency of our customers rotating equipment by combining our unique application insights, together with the right products, connected technologies and solutions.
Within Digital Transformation Innovation organization, a part of SKF Technology, we are about 140 people working at many sites globally. We deliver solutions such as Engineering Tools, Product Lifecycle Management, configurators and other to support our strategy and business needs. Product Master Data Manager




As such, you will be the primary owner for the Product Master Data and work close together with the different Product Sub-domains (such as Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing) owners to embrace the full Product Master Data in all dimensions and aspects. Another key responsibility is to understand possibilities and map what is needed to build the future digitalization roadmap.


Key responsibilities
• Own and drive improvements of the overall structure and definitions of the Product Master Data – across SKF business operations, units, processes and systems.
• Coordination of the Product Master Data areas initiatives and collaboration.
• Authority and final decision maker on semantic information model, structure and standards in collaboration with the different sub-domain leads.
• To be part of Master Data Capability Council and actively collaborate with Central MDM Team and implement the SKF Master Data vision & strategy.
• Propose, initiate and drive organizational and process improvement activities relevant for the Product Master Data area.
• Understand the desired business outcome and define solutions to meet those, in collaboration with different areas within SKF
• Understand the business' processes in order to create a cohesive vision Product Master Data
• Provide guidance to the sub-domains


You will connect with your colleagues to support and coach them, as well as with the leadership team of Digital Transformation Innovation to plan coming tasks. Participation in different project meetings and demos are also common activities.


Knowledge and experience required
• University degree, preferably computer science or related field
• Experience from exercising Master Data as a discipline
• Deep understanding of Information / Data modelling as well as good overall understanding for complex enterprise architectures
• Experience in defining solutions within Master Data Management, especially in the field of Product Life Cycle
• Good understanding of business operations and processes, with focus on either Engineering, Manufacturing, Demand Chain & Logistics or Sales.
• Leadership capabilities with ability to engage with others and collaborate in large enterprises
• Fluency in English, other language skills are meriting
• Open to travel if needed for specific activities


Meritorious
• Knowledge within PTC Windchill, Siemens TC or other similar tools
• Experience from different industries (automotive, heavy industries or others)
• Experience of working with digital transformation in a global company
