What’s in it for you?
We are now looking for a Product Owner to the External Collaboration team within the ART/Cluster Insights and Product Development Support (a part of R&D Digital). You will provide capabilities for our stakeholders to exchange data in a safe and efficient way!
The External Collaboration team is a key enabler of the data exchange at Volvo Cars together with our partners and suppliers. The vision is to enable transparency, collaborative decision-making, and problem-solving across the company.
As the team name states, this team is about collaboration! The team interacts and integrates with products and product data from our partners within Geely Group, such as Geely, Polestar, Lync & Co etc. as well as with other suppliers. Good communication skills are needed in this position!
The data of interest to exchange is mainly around documentation of the car such as parts, CAD drawings and models, electrical schemas and software.
We have an agile team existing of a scrum master, business analysts, developers, and a tech lead – a total of 14 people - all with excellent skills and competencies waiting for a product owner to take lead in roadmap development and prioritization. The team takes pride in its high competence and business knowledge accompanied by a great team spirit and compassion.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a product owner who is passionate about data management and collaboration. The primary focus will be on optimizing the value of the products and work in close collaboration with your team as well as with other teams in this area.
As a Product Owner you have the end-to-end responsibility for the product and this responsibility includes operations as well as development. You’ll create and maintain the short- and long-term vision and roadmap for the products, which is the base for your backlog and prioritization.
There are several products in the IPDS Product Cluster where product owners, scrum masters and the teams work according to the scaled agile framework SAFe to deliver product value in alignment with the architectural runway. You foster a data driven approach and set and follow up targets for product metrics.
All our products have many users and many different stakeholder groups, and with these you need to build strong relationships where collaboration is vital.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have a degree in Engineering or Business Administration as well as experience in the Information, Process & Technology sphere. Preferably within the Automotive Industry.
You should have a good understanding of team culture, OKRs, KPIs and other metrics.
Experience of leading (preferably as a PO) a cross-functional team through the agile product development lifecycle for data products of managed key information assets is essential.
In this role, you will need a strategic mindset and the ability to prioritize from a holistic perspective. You can foresee the steps needed to create a roadmap that can support Volvo Cars going forward.
To succeed in this role you need excellent communication skills, a strong drive, and the will to deliver on a high level. It’s important to be collaborative, courageous and to be able to handle complex situations. It’s essential to have servant leadership skills.
You are fluent in English; both written and spoken.
