Volvo Construction Equipment is organized in four Business Lines with business responsibility within each product line.The main facilities are located in Arvika (Sweden), Asheville (USA), Braås (Sweden), Eskilstuna (Sweden), Hallsberg (Sweden) and in Pederneiras (Brazil).4500 employees are involved in the business line globally.This includes the planning of new kinds of products for a wide range of uses and applications which will complement the traditional hauler range, so called 'niche application products'.In addition to the main responsibilities outlined below the successful candidate will also support the overall development and efficiency of product planning department.Approximately 40 - 60 days travel per year may be expected.Main responsibilities: - Create and coordinate the haulers niche application product and option portfolio - Investigate, initiate and support the development of niche application products and new options - Lead such projects in the early phases of development - Represent the voice of the market in project teams - Maintain and analyse data regarding the commercial value of niche application products and options - Analysis of market evolutions and changes in the competitive positioning - Market research necessary to support the above activities - Regular contact with Volvo dealers throughout the world - Close interaction with R&D and Global Marketing Experience and Qualifications: - A minimum of five years relevant industry experience - Good technical understanding of construction machinery or similar - Good understanding of various customer applications and segments - Good commercial understanding and project management skills - Good communication skills and the ability to interact with people on all levels - Ability to work unsupervised in an analytical and structured manner - University degree in Engineering and/or Marketing - Good skills in written and spoken English are a must
