Product Platform Haulers, Configuration Manager

General: Product Platform Hauler has a global responsibility for the complete articulated hauler including quality, cost and feature level. This includes for example specification of product targets, concept evaluation and selection, new functionality development, specification and follows up of sub system requirements to meet product targets and to lead early phases from Feasibility Study to Concept Gate. The Hauler Platform is facing many new challenges and therefore we need to strengthen our department with a Configuration Manager in order to be able to manage the product ownership and product responsibility. The product ownership is new to the department and as a Configuration Manager you will manage, develop and implement the configuration control process. The configuration control process will handle all changes in new projects and product maintenance for the entire product range. The configuration will be set and controlled in cooperation with the Technical Product Managers of the Hauler Platform. The role is new for the Hauler Platform and there is a possibility to adapt the role for the candidate. Main Responsibilities: Set up and establish a Configuration Manager (CM) process Continuously develop and manage the CM process Manage the product configuration control board Plan, coordinate and execute CM-activities Focus on processes for configuration and release Manage the change process in projects & product maintenance Act as a specialist in configuration management Support the Technical Product Managers Manage the configuration in all of the project and product life cycles Manage the configuration of hardware, software, articles, models, system and sub-systems Support the quality assurance by configuration control Manage configuration in system & sub-system of soft offers Competence: Documented experience of CM Documented experience from implementation and development of CM Experience from CM tools Experience of operational development Excellent communication and presentation skills Experience from leadership Self-motivated and able to manage time and prioritise work load Excellent communication and presentation skills Good analytical skills Proficient in written and spoken English is required
