Product Requirement Engineer

Arbetsbeskrivning

At Business area Kitchen, Bathroom and Home appliances, we are a diverse group of down-to-earth, straightforward people with a passion for home furnishing. We come from all over the world, but we share an inspiring vision: “to create a better everyday life for the many people”. We develop desirable and affordable products for a beautiful, functional and more convenient life at home.

Our mind set is that we want to make it possible for everyone to have the kitchen or bathroom of their dreams. Everything we do is based on a spirit of togetherness, curiosity and enthusiasm, and now we are looking for someone who share our positive attitude and values.

Do you want to be part of developing great products that will take IKEA into the future where we even stronger position ourselves as a leader in life at home? Do you want to be responsible to capture safety, legal and market demands for the product area you work in, as well as develop new tangible, technical requirements built on the insights of customer’s needs, expectations and behaviors?

Then you might be our new Product Requirement Engineer! Come and join us!

We are looking for a Product Requirement Engineer who can support the product development and improvement process of our Home Appliance Range and lead and coordinate the work cross product areas.

As Product Requirement Engineer you will work closely together with a product development team as the requirement specialist responsible to set and document the relevant product requirements. You will also have a close dialogue with the purchasing organization and suppliers to secure successful implementation.

You need to have good insight into specifications and test methods and keep yourself updated on changes in legislation and other external requirements that may influence the product areas under your responsibility. You will work with documentation for new product developments and well as with improvements of the running range, developing new test methods and/or requirements to live up to our customers’ expectations.

As part of our sustainability agenda, one focus area is the chemical demands and requirements and how to implement these in our product requirements and in the development of new products.
