We explore opportunities throughout the home, and we work closely with other Business Areas to both drive transformation of the existing range and develop new smart products to attract new customers to IKEA. Do you want help us create smart home products that will shape the future life at home for millions of people? Can you take responsibility for the requirements during the development process of our physical products? Then you should join us as our new Product Requirement Engineer (PRE). 

Since requirements vary from country to country, and change all the time, being a PRE for electronic products is a challenge. As a PRE you work in close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders involved in the project during the whole development process, from beginning to the end of the development of a product.

You will be a key player when it comes to identifying and creating product requirements forming the final end products, with an aim to secure that our products meet all the legal standards and the customer specific prerequisite.

In a day in the role as a PRE you will:
Define and create product requirements for end products
Take part in reviewing prototypes & define product verification/validation tests during the development phase
Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the product documentation
Have good insight of IKEA specifications, standards and test methods and keep yourself updated on the latest changes that may influence the product areas
Be part of requirement forums to create/interpret regulatory and market specific requirements
