At IKEA IT, Global production, Product Care Infrastructure we are now looking for one Product Responsible System Manager/Fault Management. As a Product Responsible you will handle life cycle management for specific products within technical platforms. A platform is a collection of standard products configured to perform specific tasks within the IKEA IT landscape. Main responsibilities are to produce and maintain life cycle management of the System Management products. Currently IKEA IT uses BMC Performance Manager, Microsoft Operations Manager, DELL Open Manager, IBM Director and InterLink Business Enterprise Server. For the components in your portfolio you will be responsible for securing the follow up and steering within the Life Cycle Management process. This includes: .version and patch handling .replace/retire applications .tests of the platforms .communicate with users, suppliers and other stakeholders .responsibility for the change and configuration process for each application Your task is to take part in the development of future IT platforms for IKEA as well as maintaining current releases during their life cycles. Working according to the IKEA IT processes, you will co-operate with other specialists on related technologies such as Batch Management, Configuration and Service Impact Management, while developing your own skills in these areas, evaluating, testing, writing documentation and educate. Required education and training, professional experience and skills: -Several years of experience in system management products mainly in system monitoring. -Computer science education or economic education on university level or equivalent. -You should have basic knowledge in operative systems like AIX, Linux, Windows and OpenVMS. You should be familiar with System Monitoring and Capacity Management. Qualifying: Experience with BMC Performance Manager product portfolio. In the role you need to: .Be structured and understand the ITIL based processes such as Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management etc. .Be able to work independently but also in team and together with colleges at other IT offices. .Have competence to act in order to achieve the expected quality in line with IKEA cost consciousness. .Be service minded with creative problem solving skills and ability to put the user in focus. .Have good communication skills both verbally and in writing Fluent English is the required language skill.
