Product Support Specialist - Crushing & Screening


Right now, we’re looking for a Product Support Specialist to Crushing and Screening – a division within Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology that produces crushers and screening equipment for the mining and construction industries. You’ll be working from our headquarters in Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities, such as Malmö, Lund and Copenhagen, and with our site located just across from the train station.

Let’s talk about the job
In this position, you’re the link between our frontline, including the sales support departments, and the backline, including the R&D function. By your contacts with the frontline and our customers, you collect insights on our customers’ needs – both now and for the future - and you visualize and communicate the information to our backline stakeholders. This enables us to understand what products and services we need in order to meet customer requirements and enhance customer value. At the same time you support and train the frontline on our products, services and strategy. You also make sure that our product specifications, offers, pricing information and product line information are updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

The structured administrator, who loves analyzing information and coordinating activities
You drive and coordinate different tasks and activities - collaborating with all our stakeholders and taking an active part in various new product development core teams. To identify improvements and decide which activities we should focus on, you analyze data and look at trends, patterns and solutions in gathered insights from both customers and internal sources. You also challenge us in finding new ways of doing things, and you make sure that necessary information and documentation is available, accurate and connected to our processes. Some travel is included.

The socially driven networker, with a knack for putting together and sharing information
You travel frequently to meet our customers and frontline functions to understand their perspective, and you collect valuable and real time customer insights to support the enhancement of our offering. You prepare presentations and other value selling material that includes relevant information directed towards different target groups. By networking with our sales areas and training members from the sales team, you help spreading understanding of our products, services and strategy. As a field ambassador, you also establish strong communication structures and help us share information with all our partners.

Your background
In this job, you’ll practice a lot of “learning by doing”, however we think it’s relevant to have previous experience from project and stakeholder management, basic financial knowledge and good planning abilities. You’re included in many different activities and tasks, so having both a technical understanding and a business mindset are beneficial, and this might come from a degree in Industrial Economy. Your passion for learning and adding customer value goes without saying. We’re a global business, which calls for excellent communication skills in English, while knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.
