IKEA Communications is the partner for IKEA worldwide within the area of communication. We are located in Älmhult, Sweden and create communication that moves IKEA forward in time. We create and produce IKEA catalogues, brochures, web sites, commercials, store communication, ads and assembly instructions etc. And we do it the IKEA way - at the lowest cost possible without lowering quality. We are looking for two Product Text Editors for the IKEA Catalogue. The main focus of the job is to take internal, factual information about our products and edit and rewrite it so customers reading the catalogue can easily understand it. We work in groups with art directors and interior designers and other specialists, so the ability to work in a team is very important. Being able to write concise, accurate information in error-free English and work under the pressure of time are essential. Suitable backgrounds for the post include working at news agencies, information departments, translating, or perhaps as a web master. Within IKEA, product communication, editing or product support would be a suitable background. We are looking for the following skills: Education in communication or languages. Excellent written English and good knowledge of Swedish. Knowledge of text processing in an IT context, i.e. mastery of all basic Macintosh word processing programs.
