Job description The position as Full Professor/Professor is a full time tenure appointment. The holder of the position will play a leading role in building a strong research environment and in education. The appointment includes teaching at all levels, from undergraduate to graduate, own research, and the supervision of PhD students, as well as administration and management of research. One of the main tasks will be to develop a new environment for interdisciplinary research and innovation in visualization. Qualifications The position requires documented high level research and excellent teaching. The applicant must be capable to take a leading role for the research within visualization. A well-documented research background in one or more of the following areas is recommended: scientific visualization, information visualization, or virtual reality. As the research carried out at Chalmers is in parts funded by external sources, a good track record in attracting external funding is beneficial. Experience gained from research within industry or the public sector is meritorious. The applicant should be able to demonstrate good leadership capability and high capability of cooperation. Innovation abilities are valued. English is our working language for research. Both Swedish and English are used in undergraduate courses, while graduate courses are taught in English.
