Job Description:
The Cost Controller supports the large / medium carlines by providing financial analysis in key milestone gates and is responsible for the control of all costs within the relevant projects from start of project to end of project.
Details below are the major responsibilities of a Cost Controller:
Control all the cost (Tooling, Facilities, Engineering and Contribution cost) within the relevant projects.
Provide financial expertise to a cross-functional Project Team.
Assist the team in making vehicle design decisions that support the team in achieving their affordable business structure commitment.
Provide regular status reports of model year vehicle development program performance against variable cost, investment and profit objectives.
Develop and utilize financial models to evaluate vehicle programs against various financial metrics.
Complete analysis required to support model year program business case development.
Support and review the Status of Volvo Programs.
Develop principles, processes and tools to improve cost control.
Participate in special studies/assignments as required.
Qualifications:
Strong business acumen with exceptional analytical skills.
Proficiency in understanding and interpreting financial information and communicating the information in a clear and concise way.
Possess strong leadership skills in areas of business acumen, integrity, courage, motivation, teamwork, and communication.
Strong team skills, an ability to work well with others, and to deliver on commitments.
Fluent in English.
Bachelors degree in business administration as a minimum.
