Programme Director, Group Data Management Office - Master Data Management
It's an exciting time for you to join us. We're a changing company with big ambitions and together we'll create the future of banking.
Working with us, you will play a part in building a better bank that fulfils a meaningful role in society. We aim to help our 11 million customers around the world improve their lives and reach their goals. To do that, we are shaping the digital transformation of banking to improve the services we deliver. Interested in coming on the journey with us?

The offer

As a Programme Director in the Master Data Management unit, you will be responsible for organizing and leading the Customer and Counterparty Data Programme, which is one of the key programmes in the foundation of the digital transformation in Nordea. The programme is a part of Nordea's overall Simplification Programme. The Customer and Counterparty Data Programme aims to:
. Create a single-view of the Customer and Counterparty Data for all business areas and channels in Nordea
. Increase data quality to meet the demands both from a regulatory and customer view
. Reduce time to market and inefficiencies in day-to-day operations
. Support the Nordea simplification initiatives to deliver great customer experiences and meet regulatory demands

Nordea is currently aligning and simplifying systems, process and products with the aim of meeting the bank's 11 million customers' needs going forward. Developing one institution, that in the early seventies consisted of 300 banks, into a leading, future-fit player with 11 million customers, has meant a deep strategic rethink and a solid action plan which is now being implemented across the bank and has the highest priority of the board.

You will be the central sparring partner for the programme members and stakeholders.

You will also interact closely with your peers within the Master Data Management unit in GDMO to continuously improve the level of expertise of the team, and to leverage the latest technology to provide better support to our business stakeholders, and to ensure high quality and excellency in the delivery of enriched core master data to internal consumers.

The team is a part of the Group Data Management Office (GDMO), which is anchored with Nordea's Group Corporate Centre covering the functional areas Data systems, Data governance and Data Quality, Risk and Regulatory Data, AI & Artificial Intelligence Lab and Applied Data Science.

GDMO was set-up to focus on working with data quality, security and reporting in a more integrated way. While keeping a close relationship with the business focus on enhancing customer experience & satisfaction, and to make Nordea easier to deal with and more accessible.

The role of data management within Nordea is of extreme importance, and with ever increasing regulatory requirements, creating a dynamic and scalable data flow to serve the rapidly expanding business demands is fundamental to the development and delivery of state of the art financial services. This is at the core of the GDMO activities.

The job is based in Stockholm or Copenhagen and you will be reporting to the Head of Master Data Management (based in Copenhagen).

Some travelling in the Nordic countries is expected (20-30%), as the team supports business partners across Nordea, as well as the team members are largely divided between the Nordic countries.

Who are you?

You are passionate about data and data management, and you have a clear understanding on the values of high quality master data in the digital transformation process. You're excited about bringing your ideas to the table, and you have a persistent drive to execute and deliver.

To be successful in this role, you have a strong profile within programme and project management, and a solid experience in stakeholder management. Preferably your experience comes from work in the cross field between technology and financial services. Excellent communication skills and business acumen are required.

Your background:

. Experience and gravitas to manage and lead the programme and deliver a successful conclusion within time and budget. This is a critical programme for Nordea and therefore needs a highly relevant and senior candidate who has the senior programme management experience from a technical and business transformation / business process re-engineering focus (rather than pure IT experience)
. The ability and gravitas to influence and advise senior management within Nordea whilst demonstrating patience, understanding and flexibility.
. Experience from managing and executing large programmes within the Financial Industry
. Experience in customer data management or master data management and achieving excellent outcomes in data quality, integration and governance.
. Experience with SAFe Agile Framework

If this sounds like you, we look forward to welcoming you to the team!
