Skåne University Hospital is a large governmental hospital in Southern Sweden.For a research project financed by Region Scania, and National Visualization Program, Knowledge Foundation, we now seek a software developer.Software developer Location: Skåne University Hospital, Lund, Department of Clinical Physiology.Application deadline: 2010-08-16.Type of position: Project employment 6 months with possible extension another year depending on project needs.Duties and eligibility Using an MRI scanner it is possible to measure three dimensional blood flow in the human heart.In a research project we are developing new methods to visualize this wealth of information.You will be responsible for design and implementation of open source software for visualization of time resolved three dimensional blood flow.The software should incorporate classical visualization techniques as well as novel visualization methods developed by the research group.A brief description of the project is given on http://www.heiberg.se/4dflow Skills and proficiency in software design, and specifically, writing C/C++ code and knowledge about VTK is necessary.Previous experience with visualization techniques, such as particle trace, participation in open source projects, proficiency in Phython and Matlab is meritable.Salary is determined on an individual basis within certain guidelines of this position.
