Responsibilities:

The selected candidate/s will form part of a an existing US based project team responsible for analysis, developing, maintenance and support of applications that will be used within the Annuities business.


Functional Success Factors (experience, knowledge,
skills):
Typical responsibilities include:

* Providing estimates for software work products
* Analysis, Design, & Developing Visual Basic & Mainframe applications
* Documenting each phase of the Life Cycle
* Providing production support
* Developing on Windows &/or UNIX
* Developing applications involving:
* UNIX, Windows
* Progress Developer V8 & V9, RDMS, Webspeed, DBA skills
* Interacting with business partners in the US


Position Requirements
And Education:
The ideal candidate should be educated to degree level and have at least 2-3 years software development experience.A strong mix of Client Server and Unix knowledge is essential.
Should have a strong working knowledge of:
* Unix, Scripting, Progress (V8/V9), Progress RDMS, Webspeed & Version control software
This position may require travel to the US from time to time.
