We are looking for a proactive, self-driven and structured Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of research projects.

Stockholm Environment Institute is a dynamic, expanding workplace that employs around 100 people from 28 different nationalities in an activity-based office in central Stockholm (Garnisonen), and with an additional 170 employees in centres around the world.
The role
SEI HQ is looking to hire a proactive, self-driven and structured Project Coordinator to support the Project Leaders in the successful delivery of projects. You would work across the organization and assist in coordination-, communications- and administration-related activities of research projects.
Key duties and responsibilities
Enable consistent delivery of projects by maintaining, monitoring and following up project plans, project schedules, budgets, financial reporting and expenditures, in close collaboration with project leaders, partners and finance.
Contribute to the development of project/product timelines
Organize, participate and take minutes in the project team and/or stakeholder meetings and events
Support/lead procurement processes required for projects
Support with preparing documents (e.g. agendas, work plans, reports, publications, proposals) and other tasks related to research projects as assigned
Develop and coordinate monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) strategies and activities for projects
Engage in data collection, data analysis and reporting
Contribute to new proposals and grant applications from Swedish, European and international sources

Who you are
We are looking for a person with an university degree in a relevant field (for example, finance or management), with previous experience working in a research organization. You will be motivated by the opportunity to contribute to research projects in the field of environmental sustainability and policy in a dynamic, international context.
As a person you are proactive, self-driven and structured with a willingness to learn, listen and share. You are goal-oriented and able to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines. You value maintaining good working relationships both internally as well as with our stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to and enjoy working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams and thrive in a flexible, high-paced research environment.
Required qualifications and experience
Relevant university degree
About 5 years of relevant working experience
Experience of working in a research organization
Proven experience of project coordination and project management tools
Experience of working with various and international stakeholders such as government officials, academic and international organizations, non-state actors, etc.
Excellent English skills
Swedish speaking skills are a plus
