Project Developer & Environmental Permit Expert to RWE!

The wind power industry is growing and we need to strengthen our team within Origination & Development Onshore Nordic in Malmö. The team is responsible for the business and project development of land-based wind power projects in Sweden and Norway. We work in an international context with English as a business language and are now looking for you who want to develop with us in an industry that is investing in the future.

About the role
In the role as a Project Developer/Permit Expert, you are the central point for permits for our Onshore department.
You are responsible for running your own projects and thereby leading resources within the global function for technical and commercial competence. As a permit expert, you will also have overall responsibility for the development up to the investment decision for one or more wind power projects.

The role is very much about building good relationships, negotiating and taking full responsibility for all contact with relevant stakeholders such as landowners, authorities, project partners, municipalities and the local population.
As a Project Developer/Permit Expert, you will also be RWE's direct contact with the County Administrative Board, authorities and relevant stakeholders such as landowners, project partners, municipalities and nearby residents.

Areas of work

* Identify and evaluate new project areas for onshore wind power
* Technical evaluation of potential projects with support from RWE's internal specialist team
* Ensure that all environmental aspects are taken into account in environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and permit documents
* Work with everything from noise assessment, landscape analysis, cultural environment investigations and ecosystem services to social impact assessments and sustainability assessments
* Create new, and maintain existing, relationships with landowners
* Preparation of decision material with financial evaluation for the internal decision-making process
* Budget and schedule responsibility
* Represent RWE in industry contexts, conferences and training sessions

Your profile

In addition, you should be an all-around artist with personal impact and a commercial mind topped with a bit of flexibility. You speak and write fluently in English.

Good if you also have:

* Relevant university degree
* Knowledge of and experience of wind power design; EIA, permit processes, technical conditions etc.
* Experience of project management with a focus on schedule and activity follow-up
* Experience of working in an international group or other intercultural experiences is an advantage
* Strong entrepreneurial spirit and initiative
* Sense of business
