Project Director

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Details: Must have at least an HNC/HND or equivalent in a related engineering discipline, but preferably an engineering degree and membership of an engineering society or equivalent.
Must have proven ability to executed and complete multiple EPC projects in accordance with the principles of the Company Quality Policy and Business Operating Procedures to deliver Customer satisfaction whilst achieving or improving profit targets. Must have international contracting experience with ability to adapt to different cultures and languages of clients, partners and contractors and detailed understangind of project management issues and effective use of tools and techniques. Must have strong commercial awareness with persuasive negotiation techniques and the ability to evaluate technical and contractural information and to identify, understand, evaluate and manage project risk. A background within the Energy, power/oil/gas contracting industry would be highly desirable.

The Role: Will be to direct and manage multiple projects across all aspects of multi-discipline, multi-company EPC projects from inception through completion. From sales handover, define base line scope, programmes and allowances together with the procedures for management of requests for change to allowance/ budgets in advance of project execution plan issue and preparation of the project execution plan for the execution of all project activities in accordance with the company business operating procedures and specific client/contract requirements.
Develop the organisational structure for a multi-disciplined team from nominated resources essential for the successful execution of the project, managing the preparation in accordance with the project schedule against which all project deliverables are monitored and controlled ad initiate audits and review engineering design, procurement, manufacturing, shipping, sub-contract, project operations and site activity to ensure compliance with project specifications, schedule requirements and company legal obligations.

Project budget management
Compliance with the company's quality policy and business operating procedures
Staff and resource manangement
Identity, review and manage project risk and financials
Control of project close out and determination of close out strategy
Review project financial status and manage change control
